What has happened for the past one year?

Gosh.. a lot i guess! Mostly in sowing seeds, reflasking, deflasking, ordering chemicals and fixing the lab. But the progress is so slow and not up to my expectation..

- Hj Naza can't do it alone. The task is time consuming
- Assistant is needed
- The contaminated flask need to be saved / reflask
- Some seedlings need to be grown outside after a while
- Many can be reflasked for sale. The right size for sale can be harvested by now

In fact Hj has started selling some flasks at Taman Orkid in late this year. The collection can now be saved in one account so as to track the sale of flask.

All these need planning. How can we do it better?..

On the personal side, met many FB friends which shared the same interest. Exchanging seeds with friends overseas, visiting orchid show In thailand, meeting friend in Indonesia and many more. It is such a blessing year indeed!

Reborn..

Wow! i haven't posted anything for a year (since my last post in July 2013).

Isn't this line sound just like last year post? hahaha..  i refuse to post anything  since i did not make a good progress in 2014. but, this time around, i HAVE to.. else, what i plan will only be a plan. so what's the plan?

2015 will see sale of our 'fruit'.. our flasks which have been sown for the past 1 year plus. Things to do by end 2014;

- register new website
- redesign the web
- open an FB account
- update all flasks which can be reflask for sale

that's my immediate target!

long term one?.. hmm, still thinking. okay, dreaming is better than sleeping  :)

Huru Hara Trip to Mount Kinabalu

Sabah is like a 'must' go place every year. It is like my second home if not for diving, hiking or just chilling with friends. Our trip hiking the Kinabalu mountain this time started from Mesilau and ended at Timpohon. It was sure a fun trip..

Hatyai oh Hatyai..

Went to Hatyai again as Bang Nuar wanted to buy the rack for orchid pots. Very cheap in Thailand. I think it is about RM4 per piece. We drove around the town looking for jumpfrog too!

Grammatophyllum Uncle at Felda Keruak, Terengganu

A 3-day trip to north and east again. The plan was to shoot photo of Doritis pulcherrima insitu. They grow along the beach in Besut, Terengganu. I've never seen this orchid and really wish to see them. Unfortunately, we found none! haha..

We also visited an uncle who grows a mini farm of Grammatophyllum speciosum. Fortunately we came at the right time, during its flowering season! It is really an eye-catching display of mouthwatering Tigers! Got a clump of 'red' variety and it was difficult to choose among these huge clump of Tigers. But the hidden jewel would be his 'Blue' speciosum. WOW! Wish he could give us to mericlone it. That would be fast..

Another Trip to Hatyai - Agricultural Show

This time it is a family trip to Hatyai in conjuction of its Agricultural Week. It is held inside the campus of Prince Songkhla University. This 1-week event displayed the agricultural products of Thai ranging from ornamental plants to machinery and poultry. As usual, bought some orchids as souvenirs..
