I had planned for a long time to visit orchid farms in Thailand. Had this opportunity when Abg Nuar agreed to go on a 1-week trip. Wow! What did I do? I can only list down what where when who bla3..
Friday 24/8 - 6.30pm - Departed from Alor Star to.. supposedly to overnite at Surat Thani but end up at north Chumpon.
Saturday 25/8 - Stopped by at Prachuap Khiri Khan (border Thai-Myanmar) and wandering around at the stalls there
Drove to Ratchaburi and dropped by at Nuui farm. Overnite at the town.
Sunday 26/8 - Drove to Bangkok. Check in hotel near Chatuchak market - went to Paragon Mall to meet Oat and Mink. There was an orchid show as well. Dinner with Oat.
Monday 27/8 - Drove to Saraburi to visit 2 nurseries - Mink and his girlfriend. Young chaps but already had their farms.
Late evening drove to Ayutthaya and had dinner there. Then drove back to Racthaburi.
Tuesday 28/8 - Nuui brought us to visit one farm at Nakhon Pathom (a huge one!) and after that we went to an open market to buy few stuff.
Went back to Ratchaburi, packed the orchids and later that night (9 pm) we drove way back to the South. I think I stopped by at Chumpon for 1-2 hour sleep.
Wednesday 29/8 - In the morning, I continued driving to Surat Thani and I need life saving and yeay there it is CIMB!
Originally planned to stay at Ko Samui but since the queue at the Ferry Line was so long, I continued driving to Hatyai.
Thursday 30/8 - In the morning, we checked out and went to the market to buy few stuff. Then head straight to Padang Besar to arrange for the orchids shipment. Arrived at Alor Star at about 3.30pm..
Phew.. the orchids we picked up later in the evening and that's all how our journey ended!
