Annual Agri Fair @ Hatyai

As usual... my annual trip to Hatyai! Just looking around any new interesting plants at the fair. Went with my sisters this time..

Meeting the Bellina..

It is a planned trip with Kak Asnah to visit Ewaldus Henny at Sanggau, Pontianak. From Kuching we took EVA to Sanggau (11am - 3.30pm) on Friday. Upon arriving at his house, we selected whatever orchids available. What I am looking for is actually the bellinas since they are native to Kapuas area. They grow near the rivers/streams in a damp condition. Other phalaenopsis available include corningiana, pantherina, cornu cervi and fuscata. Not much of bulbos but we also took the aeolium, cuspidipetalum, a no id bulbo and few others. Went back to Kuching by 11.30pm bus and arrived at Kuching at 7++ am the next day.

Haji Naza has finally closed his shop at Taman Botanikal Kuala Lumpur. It was a difficult decision but the business was really bad when DBKL moved the shops toa  new area. Hopefully, once the renovation of the Orchid Garden is completed, there is an opportunity for him to open up the business there again.

Trip of Metal, Fish and Figs!

I need few rod holders for the next trip at Penyabong. The bot, unfortunately, has nos no rod holders. Thus, my trip this time is not so much about orchids but rather to forge 6-meter of solid stainless steel into 12 set of holders!
